Dziwożona / Das Wunder Weib

Nikt nie wiedział skąd przyszła. Wydawało się, że już od zawsze tu była. Sunęła po szarych chodnikach zmęczonego miasta z wielką fabryką małolitrażowych samochodów. Płynęła po ich twardym bruku ani na chwilę nie odrywając stopy od chropowatej powierzchni. To był jej teren, jej świat. Znała każdy kąt tego postrobotniczego osiedla, choć nikt nie wiedział gdzie właściwie mieszkała. Stare bloki, nowe bloki – odwieczna dychotomia z granicą przebiegającą wzdłuż ulicy. Pojawiała się zawsze wtedy kiedy ściany betonowej płyty rozbłyskiwały żółtym światłem lamp kuchennych. Kiedy ich mieszkańcy siadali z kolacją przed ekranem telewizora oddając się wieczornemu postojowi, ona zawiązywała ciasno sznurówki wysokich czarnych butów, które mocno obejmowały jej pękatą łydkę.

Krew, do tej pory spokojnie płynąca w usianych gęstą siatką żył stopach, zatrzymywała swój bieg, a palce bielały powoli w odrętwieniu. Czuła wtedy, że jest gotowa, że wystarczająco uniosła się nad ziemią by czuć przyjemne ciepło nagrzanego słońcem wieczornego asfaltu. Jej długa czarna suknia ciągnęła się za nią starannym haftowanym wykończeniem. Czarny haft na czarnym tle. Moda na którą było “już za późno” i “jeszcze za wcześnie”.

Stare piersi opinał szczelnie ciemny gorset po którym wiły się pęki żółtych kwiatów oplecionych wieńcami ciemnozielonych liści paproci. Na ramiona zarzucała zwykle ciężkie wełniane ponczo z wykrochmaloną na sztywno stójką. Jego rękawy wykończone były sztucznym futrem, którego włosie układało się w koncentryczne spirale. Otoczoną białym kołnierzem z koronką szyję wieńczyła biała głowa z mocno przytwierdzoną do niej czarną peruką. Pojawiała się w słocie lata i mrozach zimy, kiedy małe samochody grzęzły w zaspach śniegu. Powoli bez pośpiechu przecierała na nowo swoje odwieczne szlaki. Błąkająca się za życia dusza, w pełnym rynsztunku i elegancji, z której unosił się odór rozkładu. Ludzie przyzwyczaili się do niej jak przyzwyczaja się do nieuchronności śmierci. A ona w ciągłym ruchu powoli gasła i jak przyszła, tak znikała, za każdym razem zabierając ze sobą tajemnice wszechświata.
